What is tegra rcm?

Tegra RCM (Recovery Mode) is a mode in NVIDIA Tegra devices that allows the device to be unbricked in case of a corrupted bootloader or firmware. It is also used to flash custom firmware and recover from soft-brick situations.

To enter Tegra RCM mode, the device must be connected to a computer via USB and the device must be put into recovery mode. Tegra RCM requires specialized tools such as a USB cable, a computer, and a tool like Hekate or TegraRcmSmash to enter the mode.

Once the device is in Tegra RCM mode, the user can send payload to the device to perform operations such as installing custom firmware, backing up the existing firmware, and modifying the bootloader.

Tegra RCM is commonly used by developers and enthusiasts to modify and enhance the functionality of NVIDIA Tegra devices, such as the Nintendo Switch console. However, it should be noted that modifying the firmware could potentially damage the device and void its warranty.
